Hi, I’m a Ph.D candidate in Department of Design, Aalto University.
As a design researcher, I’ve worked in areas of Experience-Centered Design, User-Centered Design Methods, Interaction Design, and Cross-cultural Design.
My doctoral research investigates how the collective users, beyond the traditional concept on a user as an individual, experience interactive technologies together and can be modeled as reference for designing technologies (and services). I especially draw on role-identity models to explain how the collective thinks, acts and feels with technology. The model also helps explore the affect of socio-cultural boundaries on collective users’ experiences.
To explore this issue, I’m taking research-through-design cycles. A series of interactive prototypes is designed to unfold social scenes for observation and gaining insights for design.
